biography

David Neveau Musical Biography Born in Homestead, FL his dad would move their family to many places before settling in Dallas where David's musical education would really begin. It was 1995 and underground parties were getting big in Dallas. I mean in size. David would immerse himself in this newfound scene never to look back at the humdrum world of MTV and high school dances. Always a self-starter David began to buy records and teach himself the art of mixing. He teamed up with people from his city and began throwing parties in local area parks and fields. This pond was too small however so David and a friend named Lance Desardi decided to move to Dallas. There they were instantly brought under the wing of the Hazy Daze Collective. David learned to make himself useful by setting up sound systems and helping at IGS the record shop. He would DJ any chance he got and with his newfound influences he began to collect records with more soul and classic appeal than ever before. During the heyday of Fair Park Recordings David started learning to produce thankfully under the guidance of JT Donaldson until his departure from Dallas. In 1998 David and a partner released a little known record with mixes by Lance and JT called the East Side Sampler. However David would have a long road before seeing light at the end of the tunnel again. His Journey would leave him to touch many lives prior to gaining the confidence that his music was marketable. He was involved in the rise of a truly underground group called the Jumble Tribe. He took a residency at the Sand Bar where he brought in names like Diz, Tim Harper, and Stacey Kidd just to name a few. While playing there in the early hours of the morning he caught the eyes of Household Productions including Scott Pace and well-seasoned veteran Demarkus Lewis. He helped to organize their camp by throwing parties as well as influencing the music. Ah but alas David would do this again in Denton and again in Dallas where he motivated and invested money into the kids of Cartel to get their T-Shirt Designs out there as well as have a real good time. Presently David is working with Jeff Mitchell in the studio and in life with a more focused approach. He looks forward to his release on Grab Recordings 002 as well as collaborating with many other people while still positively touching the lives of those around him.
