In 1980, Vlado Ovcaric aka Votekk was born in capital of Croatia, Zagreb. From the age of 6 he began to record his first compilation tapes. The soulful sounds of 70 and early 80 such as Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield and mutual artists were his first experience with music and today remained as an ideal of a perfect music, an ideal he is trying to achieve. At the age of 17 he had discovered house and deep house music and then realized that his path in life is the path of a musician. In year 2000 he started working as a DJ and a producer, with gigs in Zagreb (OTV, The Best, etc.) and on the Adriatic coast. His main goal in music is to combine deep emotions with electronic and acoustic sounds and to completely express himself through music. Not many could achieve this, but artists like J.F.Cochois aka Timewriter, Bugge Wesseltoft, Nordic producers such as Plej, Nuspirit Helsinki, Svek artists etc.did accomplish this and therefore are his ideals in music.

Even though he is, as a producer, mainly interested in making deep and tech-house music, he has a great passion for jazz, lounge, dub and ambient music and that will with no doubt become more and more obvious in his future work.
