Introduced to house music in the early nineties, Waric has been involed in the underground house music scene in Dallas for quite some time. He began playing at some of the legendary Hazy Daze ranch parties where he gained the respect of the party people and fellow house mates. Early influences include Frankie Knuckles, Tommy Musto, Victor Simenelli, MAW, Mood II Swing, and Jazz N Groove. Waric's technical skills behind the decks have have kept him playing out at home and across the U.S. He attributes his original inspiration for delving into house music to two Dallas pioneers and long-time friends, Tim Shumaker and Cle' Acklin, both who are responsible for pushing house music and made Dallas a legendary city for serious talent.
Today, Waric's influences cover a broader scope of generes that include such artists as Dr. Dre, Lonnie Liston Smith, Michael Mcdonald, Stereolab, Kashif, Wally Badarou, and Steely Dan. All of whom have inspired in one form or another. After a brief period in Los Angeles, Waric is now back in Dallas where he is focusing his attention on writing and producing tracks. His work can be found on labels such as Panhandle, Fairpark, Lowdown, and Bluem. Soundproof Music, of which he is a partner, promises to be an exciting and creative outlet for house music that has more than one dimension.
